Blue Rose Film Review

Every so often a year comes around that manages to produce a huge number of great film. There are always great films that come out every year, but it's not every year that pumps out classic after classic. In my eyes, the year 1999 is one of those years - a year that has proven retrospectively to be a year that continues to reward cinephiles with a string of great movies. Here's a list of some of my favourites. A little while back I did a ranking of all of Christopher Nolan's films over on the Instagram page, starting with his 1998 debut film Following all the way through to Tenet. There was so much more that I wanted to say about all of his films and their placements in that list that I wasn't able to on that platform, so I thought it would be a good idea to revisit that list in more depth here. Bear in mind, this is my list; not your list, not the list, just my list.  You know the drill - here we go! Freddy Got Fingered (2001) I needed to do some research to really understand who Tom Green even was before I watched Freddy Got Fingered , because he was incredibly popular for maybe three or four years in the late 1990s before he completely disappeared from popular culture. Even just the existence of this movie proved this point; I don't know anyone who still talks about this movie. And let's get this out of the way - it's awful. I mean, really bad. But I found myself laughing at it pretty much all the way through, because behind the thick veneer of just how awful this movie is, I could tell that Tom Green was laughing maniacally at the fact that a studio gave him this much money to make a movie this terrible. If you can understand the movie on that level - that it's almost like Tom Green lost a bet and had to make this movie - then you will enjoy Freddy Got Fingered on a much deeper level than just trying to enjoy it on face value.  T
